Roof Rack and Kayak Carrier Recommendation for 2017 Kia Soul with Fixed Points

Question:

I have a 2017 Kia Soul Plus with no moon roof, and fixed mounting points on the roof no rails. Per the owners manual, the vehicle is rated to handle 165# on a roof rack. I am looking to mount rails on the roof to facilitate transport of 2 kayaks, and am currently looking at the Rola Rail Extreme FPE Series Roof Rack - Fixed Mounting Points. However there are no reviews or other guidance for this unit. Questions: 1. Will this be adequate to handle 2 kayaks totaling just under 80 pounds? 2. Notes state lock cylinders are sold separately - please advise of related part numbers. 3. Bars on this unit are 47inch long and my kayaks are both 28inch wide. I am looking at angled brackets, but welcome your thoughts. I noted the review of Part 59789 also a Rola system by Mike D on 07/06/2014 shows pictures of an installation on a Kia Soul using angled carrier brackets. Can you advise of the related part numbers? Or if a different style mount offers better performance, please advise accordingly. Or if you feel ANY of the system above could be improved upon, I would welcome your thoughts on this. These will NOT receive frequent use, but it is conceivable that whatever I purchase will be used for 1500 to 1800 mile treks to either coast line. I obviously dont want to break the bank on cost, but am willing to spend what is necessary to provide a solid and dependable system. Thank you! The Rola Extreme FPE Roof Rack part # R6006 that you referenced would be a great choice for carrying kayak carriers on your 2017 Kia Soul.

For a kayak carrier that can carry 2 kayaks well and would work great for you I'd recommend the Yakima JayLow part # Y04073 which will fit your bars and will carry your two 40 lb kayaks well.
