Can Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera # HM50002 be Hardwired to a 1998 Chevy Pickup
Question:
My chevy only has 4 prong trailer light connection. The connection you show for my 1998 chevy pickup is a 7 prong connection. Do you just cut off the 7 prong adapter and hard wire?

Basically, yes, you would need to remove the 7-Way connectors on Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera # HM50002 and hardwire it directly to a reverse light wire on your 1998 Chevy pickup. I have linked a video that shows a hardwire installation on what used to be my PT Cruiser.
