To carry 4 bikes with your 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack I recommend the EcoHitch # 306-X7315. This is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2" receiver opening that has a tongue weight rating of 200 lbs so a lightweight bike rack is your best option. Be sure to check your owner's manual for any weight ratings or restrictions for your vehicle.

For a lightweight bike rack that can accommodate 4 bikes I recommend the Yakima RidgeBack # Y02458. This bike rack only weighs 35 lbs and has a weight capacity of 120 lbs (total for all 4 bikes). The RidgeBack also has the ability to fold up for more rear clearance and tilt (without bikes loaded) to rear hatch access.

If any of your bikes have an alternative frame that doesn't have a horizontal cross tube like a traditional men's bike then an adapter bar like part # Y02531 is recommended. This will help keep your bike level and increase ground clearance.
