High Capacity Trailer Hitch, Brake Controller and Wiring Recommendation for 1998 Ford Van
Question:
I have a 1998 Ford E350 club wagon. 15 passenger with the v10. I’d like to put on a class 4 10k receiver hitch and add wiring harness for 4 and 7 plug with trailer brake controller. What part numbers would you recommend that are the most economical to achieve all I’m looking for? Thanks!

For your 1998 Ford F-350 we have the Curt hitch part # 14053 which has a 10k capacity that would work well.
For trailer wiring you will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 118344.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well. This also has a 4-way to the side of the 7-way.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
