Weight of 8 Lug Hub and Drum Assembly for 8,000 Pound Axle
Question:
How much does just the hub and drum 8 lug weigh ive had to change 12 out on the 3 trailers we have and am tryn to find the weight of just the hub and drum a dumb coworker says 40 lbs. I know they have to weigh more cause ive had to move these monsters around by bear hugging one @ a time

I am not sure of the exact model hub and drum assembly you have on your trailer, but the etrailer.com Trailer Hub and Drum # AKHD-865-8-K that we have for 8,000 pounds axles weighs around 68 pounds. Looking through the other similarly rated hub assemblies we have available, it looks like they all have a weight of around this number. With that being said, it does look like our hubs are a bit different than what your trailer is currently equipped with based on the picture you attached. Your hubs do look heavier than the options we have on our site.
With all of that in mind, I think you can confidently tell your coworker that the hubs on your trailer weigh quite a bit more than 40 pounds.
