Towing Capacity of a 2013 Honda Accord Touring
Question:
I have a 2013 Honda Accord Touring. The tow hitch available for my vehicle has a max GTW of 2000 lbs. my wifes vehicle weighs around 2500 lbs. Would it be possible, with a trailer that tows a vehicle by the front wheels, to safely tow her vehicle or would the weight not be distributed enough to do so?

You are correct that the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11496 which is a fit for your 2013 Honda Accord Touring has a 2,000 lb gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity. However, the vehicle only has a 1,000 lb gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity and since this is the lowest rated component in the system, it will need to be the figure you abide by. Therefore, I cannot recommend you use this vehicle to tow a 2,500 lb vehicle even with a tow dolly.
If you choose to do so anyway then you are going to need a trailer wiring harness and ball mount/hitch ball. For this, I recommend using the Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56173 if you have LED taillights or part # 118596 if you do not have LED taillights. For the ball mount/hitch ball I recommend Draw-Tite Drawbar part # 3593 with the 2" Hitch Ball part # 19258.
I have attached a few install videos on the above products for you as well.
