Recommended Trailer Brake Controller for 2000 Silverado Z-71

Not to good on Questios to explain maybe me explaining it you might be able to follow along to Picture what I am asking? I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado Automatic 1500 Z-71 with the Tow Haul Button on the Gear Shift to Push in for Towing Purposes the 7 Prong Blade Round Trailer Plug and a 26ft. Dutch Man Pull behind to the Bumper.... well a Mounted Hitch [ 4 Wheels / Brakes or 2 Axles ] what kind of Braking System do I need NOT Real expensive but reliable to Tow it Pull it from Northern Ky to half way down in Florida and back. Of course future adventures will be in the Smokies and over the Mountain from Tennessee Side into North Carolina ALOT of Brakes will be used there and as well as Jellico Mountain New Brakes all around the Truck with Heavy Duty Brakes and New Calipers etc. put on about a Month and a Half ago and eventually out to Yellowstone and back in about 2 Years. I know I will need a 2 Axle System but what is Recommended you deal with this on an everyday basis.

It sounds like you are looking for a trailer brake controller for your 2000 Silverado Z-71 to power the electric drum brakes on your Dutchmen bumper-pull trailer. We can help.
Since your truck has the factory 7-way connector installed you can install a brake controller easily by using a quick-connect harness that plugs in under the dash. For a good and reliable controller that won't break the bank I suggest the Primus IQ # TK90160 along with the matching wiring harness # 3025-P. This is a proportional brake controller that will slow the trailer at the same rate the truck slows down.
