Replacement Electric Trailer Brakes for '66 Avion Trailer

Question:

Hi, I am looking for brake assemblys to fit on my 66 Avion with a single axle. The axle has the following manufacturer tag : Hammer Blow tool company. Wausau Wisc. # 372377. The trailer weighs a little over 3000 lbs and I have 6 lug hubs and 15inch rims and tires. I believe the hubs are 12inch but will have to check and the backing plates have the 5 bolt mounting set up. Do you need any more information to determine the correct set up?? Thanks.

You will want to measure the inside diameter of a drum as well as the width of the surface the pad material comes into contact with (instead of the overall width). I have included a picture showing the areas I am talking about. I have included a second picture that shows the hole spacing on 12 inch brakes such as # AKEBRK-7-SA.

If the hubs you have are 12 inches inner diameter and 2 inches wide and the mounting pattern for the brakes matches up you could use # AKEBRK-7-SA.

If you have something different let me know.
