Can a 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter be Installed on a 2017 Chevy Camaro

Will this connect to a watercraft trailer. If yes is this the only wiring required?

Trailers for watercraft items generally use either a 4-Way flat or 5-Way flat trailer connector. But if yours has a 7-Way blade style connector on it AND your 2017 Chevy Camaro already has a 4-Way flat connector on it then # 30717 could be used. The white wire would need to ground to the vehicle frame. The black wire is for 12 volt power if the trailer requires it, blue is for electric brakes if the trailer has them, and yellow is for reverse lights if needed.

To make all of those things functional you would also need additional parts. Basically if you already have a 4-Way flat and still need all of the functions in a 7-Way I recommend going with # ETBC7 because it will have all the parts you will need except a brake controller such as # 90885.

If your Camaro does not have any trailer wiring at all then you would start by adding a 4-Way using # 118690. If you can take a picture of the trailer's connector and email it to me then I can tell you what all you will need for sure.
