How to Carry Bikes on a 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport

Question:

The curt hitch part # you have mentioned in several questions as the correct hitch for a 2017 Land Rover discovery sport seems to now be gone and unavailable. Is the hitch no longer available and do you have an alternate hitch suggestion that would be compatible with my vehicle? I’m trying to attaché a hitch mount bike carrier.

We do have a Curt trailer hitch that fits a 2017 Land Rover Discover Sport; it's part # C13396. It only fits if you don't have the 5+2 in your vehicle and will work with your bike carrier as long as it fits a 2 inch hitch.

The 5+2 seating is basically a third row of two seats that can be layed flat in the rear cargo area.

If your Rover does have the 5+2 seating the only available option we currently have to carry bikes on your Land Rover is to add a roof rack with bike carriers on its roof. I recommend adding the Yakima JetStream bars, part # Y00425. Personally I like the silver bars. Then use the TimberLine towers, part # Y33TR, to mount the bars on the roof. I've linked videos of both the bars and towers for you to check out.

Then add a roof mount bike carrier. I've linked our entire selection for you. I recommend the RockyMounts TomaHawk, part # RKY1222 because it doesn't require you to remove the wheel and it can fit a variety of different bikes.
