On your 2015 Ram 2500 with a 6-1/2 foot bed, a sliding fifth-wheel hitch will be needed so that you can make sharp turns and not have to worry about the trailer making contact with the cab.
If your Ram does not have the factory rail kit/puck system in the bed, I recommend taking a look at the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # C16541. This is a really nice, sliding hitch that features a dual-latching jaw that will completely wrap around the trailer king pin for an excellent connection. Its 9 inch wide funnel provides a large area to help with guiding the king pin into the hitch and the slider will provide 12 inches of front to back travel. The hitch has a 20,000 pound towing weight capacity.
For a base rail kit, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Installation Kit # RP50054-58. This base rail kit includes custom frame brackets that will use existing holes in your Ram's frame to eliminate the need to drill into it and also drastically cut down on installation time.
