Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring That Stays Bright When Running Lights are On
Question:
I installed a new set of LED trailer lights on my utility trailer. The kit was originally for a 4 pin, but I purchased a 7 pin already wired in order to adapt. The issue is that when I turn my headlights on the running lights will only stay bright. Meaning they wont dim. So when my headlights are on, you cant see the blinker or brake lights because its bright all the time. If I turn the headlights off everything works fine.

Sounds like you may have miswired your 7-way as you wired it in. I'd go over how you wired it in and make sure you don't have the running light and stop/turn circuits backwards. I attached a diagram that you may find helpful as well.
