Replacement 7-Way Recommendation for Trailer with 2 Round 4-Ways
Question:
Hello! We have a 1988? Palomino tent trailer that I have spent hours trying to find an adapter for so that I can tow it using the original brake lights / trailer brake. The problem is, it has a wiring plug that is unlike anything I have seen before. The trailer has TWO round 4 pin FEMALE plugs on the end. Every plug I have seen has a male end but this is the complete opposite, and it has two of them not one. Does anybody know why this is, and if there is any adapter I can buy so that I can plug the trailer into my trucks 7 pin or 4 pin flat outlet? Thank you!

It's highly unusual for a trailer like yours to have two round 4-ways like what is in the picture you sent in. It's possible they would match the # PK11410 which is a female 4-way socket but I'd have no way of knowing how yours are wired since they are not standard.
Best option I would have would be for you to cut off the 4-ways and wire them to a 7-way plug like part # H20043. To identify the wires of the connector you'd need to use a 12 volt jumper wire from a vehicle battery's positive post for each of the wires and then wire accordingly to the # H20043.
