Steering Stabilizer and Anti-Sway Kits for 2017 Thor Ace Class A Motorhome on Ford F-53 Chassis
Question:
What is the Roadmaster Stabilizer model for a 2017 ACE 30.4 Ford? What is the effect of using a higher rated GVW unit. i.e suggested 24,000 using a 26,000 pound unit? Thank you for your reply.

The Thor Ace 30.4 Class A motor coach built on the Ford F-53 chassis with Triton V10 and has a specified gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 18,000-lbs and a combined rating (GCWR) of 23,000-lbs. If you were to use an anti-sway bar or steering stabilizer rated for higher than your RV actual weight there would be no benefit and the functionality of such devices could suffer.
This is NOT like a scenario where you are selecting tires with a higher weight load range than you actually need. In that case using tires rated for more weight has no downside; it is simply extra capacity that will allow the tires to run cooler for the given weight load they carry. But using the wrong anti-sway bar or steering stabilizer for your coach would potentially deliver stiff or unpredictable handling and I do not recommend doing so.
For your coach the recommended steering stabilizer is Roadmaster # RM-RBK22-RSSA, the rear anti sway kit is # RM-1139-146 and the front anti-sway bar is kit # RM-1139-148.
