Troubleshooting the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness # 118552 on a 2011 Jeep Patriot

have hooked all wires up as instructed in video, when turning on lights have all lights to trailer and vehicle except when i turn on signals to trailer there is no signals and no brake lights only on vehicle. could this be a ground issue or do i have wrong light kit vehicle is a 2011 jeep patriot 4x4

The Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, part # 118552, is the correct wiring harness for the 2011 Jeep Patriot 4x4.

If the functions on the trailer connector of the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 118552, tests good without the trailer hooked up then you will need to check the trailer for possible wiring problems.

The most common situation is that there is a bad ground on the trailer. A bad ground on the trailer could cause the situation you are seeing. Check all of the ground connections on the trailer especially where the tail lights are mounted to the trailer frame, and where the light brackets are mounted if they are bolted to the frame. If a plastic license plate holder is mounted between the left side tail light and the trailer frame this could be the problem.

Once you have all of the ground connections checked if the problem persists you will need to check for a broken pinched or frayed wire on the trailer somewhere.
