Can the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Part # C16115 Be Converted to a Slider  

Question:

I have a Curt E16 non slider installed on my 2003 Ram 2500. I want to buy the slider head for this set up listed on your site. Will it be compatible with my rails that I currently have installed. It sure looks like it. Here is the one I am looking at on your etrailer webpage. 16516

The Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16115 and the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Roller part # 16516 both install in the same industry standard above bed base rails (ISR). The head on each unit is the same therefore you can use the head you have now and attach it to the Curt R16 Round Tube Slider part # C16560 in order to gain the sliding feature. The sliding feature is actually in the base of the unit and not the head which is why you will need a new base to gain the sliding feature.
