Recommended Locking Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin for Curt 17x46 Cargo Carrier
Question:
I recently purchased and installed a Curt Class I trailer hitch on my 2014 Chevy Sonic sedan. With it, I am using a Curt cargo carrier part number C18145. It comes with an anti-rattle pin, one that isnt lockable. I would like to use a locking version but cant seem to find one that fits Class I hitches. Ive read previous questions that are very similar, but the answers all point to a locking pin that fits 2inch hitches. Is there an option for class I receivers?

Expert Reply:
For a locking anti-rattle hitch pin that will work perfectly with the Curt Cargo Carrier # C18145 and the Class I hitch on your Chevy Sonic, I recommend the Swagman Locking Anti-Rattle # S64029. This 1/2 inch locking hitch pin will pull the receiver bar tight to one side of the hitch to prevent movement and 2 keys are included to lock and secure the carrier. Curt has confirmed that this particular locking pin is compatible with this carrier.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.
