Recommended Solar Battery Charger for Scout Troop Trailer
Question:
I am with a Scout troop. We have a new trailer for hauling camping gear. It has a light, but we need a battery and a solar charger setup. Our previous trailer had this setup and it worked well. Any recommendations? Thanks!

For your Scout Troop's new trailer, I recommend taking a look at the TorkLift Solar Power Kit # TLA7713. This will do a great job of continuously charging your trailer battery as long as light is available. The 10 watt panel will maintain a charged battery or can bring a depleted battery back from 50 percent life.
If you plan on using the panel with a single battery, you will just need to add the 8-Amp Regulator # TLA7715 to prevent overcharging.
I have attached a short video demonstration for this Power Kit, along with the complete written installation instructions that you can take a look at.
