Troubleshooting 7-Way Trailer Wiring for 2012 Nissan Frontier Where Brakes Are Always Locked Up

Bought a package from you 5 yrs ago Hitch, Relays, 7 pin plug, Reese brakeman digital brake controller for 2012 Nissan Frontier pulling travel trailer. Everything worked, but brakes always on on trailer. Have not used until last week. Same problem. Can you help?

On some Nissan vehicles the connectors where the 7-Way plugs in are wired differently than on other Nissan vehicles. To fix the issue you can swap the blue and black wires on the harness that plugs into the vehicle.

We've seen this issue a few times with 2012 Nissan Frontiers like yours with 7-way harnesses like the part # 118266.
