Never pull it up the slippery boat ramp. My brother was unable to pull our 16 foot out without 4 wheel drive. Adsume you are AWD?

According to the owner's manual for your 2018 Mazda CX-5, the maximum towing capacity of this vehicle is 2,000 lbs. Therefore, as long as the weight of the boat and trailer do not exceed this rating then yes, your vehicle is equipped to tow it. In order to tow the trailer you are going to need a trailer hitch, wiring harness, and ball mount/hitch ball. For a trailer hitch I recommend using the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76138 which is a direct fit that will not require any drilling for installation. The hitch has a Class III rating with a 2" receiver tube opening. Then for a wiring harness, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118746 which is almost a completely plug and play option. For the ball mount/hitch ball, I recommend the Ball Mount Kit part # 989900. However, you will need to be sure that either one of the two ball mounts has the correct rise/drop for your vehicle/trailer. You can use the attached help article to determine this. I have also attached an install video of the hitch on a similar CX-5 for you as well.
