Recommended Gooseneck-To-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter To Provide Offset

Question:

I have a 2015 Chevy Silverado 3500 cab and chassis with a flat bed and ball. The distance from the center of the ball to the center back of the bed is 60 inches. The distance from the center of the ball to the corner of the bed is 73 inches. Can you help me find a way to pull a camper with this truck? The camper we want has clearance from the center of the king pin to the skirt of 73 inches. Is there a way to move the king pin forward to give more clearance?

The best way to accomplish your goal is by using the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset # CAB-C5GX1216. This product will provide you with 7-1/2" of offset. The offset on this product will allow you to sit your trailer further and make your turns safely and with confidence.

When installing the included collar on this product slides over your fifth-wheel trailer's king pin and is held in place with the included set screws. Then, larger set screws are mounted at the top of the coupler adapter then tighten onto the collar. (see picture) Because this adapter is designed with an offset, the top lip of the adapter must also be bolted to the base of the pin box to ensure proper positioning.

I have a product video attached which explains more in detail how this process is done.
