How to Easily Install Both Spring Bars on the Reese 350 Mini-Lite Weight Distribution System
Question:
I installed per instructions the hitch. Always the left hand bar is extremely hard to set in the tow position. Very difficult to lift high enough to get on the fiction pad. The right hand bar is fine, easy to lift upand set in position. I have talked to another person with the same hitch with the same problem. Any ideas or suggestions. All instructions are being followed exactly.

Since you are following the instructions closely and have checked things out, it sounds as if you have a common issue that shows up when setting weight distribution spring bars. Once one side is attached the other side becomes very difficult to install because of the weight that the system is trying to distribute. You would most likely have the same problem if you installed the left hand bar first, you would then have trouble with the right hand spring bar.
The fix for this situation is to attach the trailer to the hitch ball and then use the trailer jack to lift the rear of the vehicle and the front of the trailer a small amount. This will take pressure out of the system and allow you to attach both spring bars easily.
