Electric Trailer Brake Assembly for 6,000 lb Axle

Question:

Just wondered if you had my trailer info if you could tell me which assembly I would need, two axles with 12,000 lb GAWR. My trailer has 16 inch tires, 8 lugs, and appears to be about 6.5 inch center to center on the lugs across from each other...

It sounds like you have a tandem axle trailer with 6,000 lb axles; the electric trailer brakes I recommend for that is the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA.

These self-adjusting brake assemblies are 12" x 2" and fit standard hub and drum assemblies. They work with 16" wheels and you need to have a mounting flange with a 5 bolt pattern such as # 4-44-1, which is common on 6,000 lb axles.

You will also need Mounting Hardware # BRKH12, which gives you the hardware to install a pair of brake assemblies.
