If you use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 you should be able to locate some wires behind or around your brake pedal and test them. If one gets hot only when your brake pedal is pressed, then you can connect the RoadMaster Transmitter # RM-9420 to that.
Otherwise, your best bet would be to locate the trailer brake controller connector and tap into the stop light switch that way. If you check up under your dash to the right of the steering wheel (basically behind that center panel) you will find the factory brake controller connector. You can then use a circuit tester to see which of those 4 wires is the stop light switch and tap into it there. I have attached a video of the Primus IQ # TK90160 being installed on a 2017 Ford F-150 that you can reference for this.
If you don't have a circuit tester, then you can simply look at the pin-out configuration of the connector to determine which wire you need to tap into. Attached is a picture of the connector for the Plug-In Adapter # 22292 for your F-150. The red wire on this connector is for the stop light switch. All you need to do is see which wire is on the opposite side for your factory brake controller connector and you know which one to tap into!
