Fifth Wheel Rail Kit Recommendation for 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 5-1/2 foot Bed

I just bought a 2018 Silverado 1500. The bed is just under 6. I would like to use my existing 5th wheel hitch that I am taking out of my other truck and put rails and this 5th wheel in the 2018 and add a sidewinder. Any ideas on this? Thanks

You are on the right track to tow a fifth wheel trailer with your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 5-1/2 foot bed. You'll need a rail kit confirmed to fit the truck like the Reese Kit part # RP50064-58 and then the correct Sidewinder.

Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.

There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.

Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.
