What is the Torque Specification for Brake Mounting Flange Bolts
Question:
AKEBRK-7-SA I watched the installation video. The torque for the 5 mounting nuts was not mentioned, though a torque wrench was used. Can you provide me with the correct Ft/lbs please?

Expert Reply:
The bolts used to secure the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-7-SA to your axle will need to be torqued to 30-50 ft-lbs. If you do not have access to a torque wrench then you can tighten the bolts down enough to where the lock washer is crushed and that will be sufficient. We also have a torque wrench available as part # ALL944001. If you need new hardware you can use part # BRKH12.
