Parts Needed to Install a Brake Controller in a 2001 Ford Sport Trac with 7-Way or 4-Way
Question:
I have a trailer controller and wiring in my cart for a Code: 90885 Tekonsha P2. I need to add a pigtail adapter to connect to the rear of the unit. What Item number to I use to get the proper item? thx.

There isn't a brake controller wiring harness for the 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. A brake controller will need to be hardwired in. If the vehicle already has a 7-Way trailer connector then all you will need is # 5506. But if it has a 4-Way flat connector only then you will need # ETBC7. I have included some links that show and explain the hardwire installations.
