Parts Needed to Tow Trailer with 2014 Toyota Sienna

Question:

Hi, this is a multi part question : I am purchasing a hybrid trailer that, when loaded, is going to be very close to my 3500lb max. It is coming with a WDH. I am unsure of the tongue weight, but I would like to take as many safety precautions as possible. My Sienna has tow hitch installed, but no wiring. I am purchasing C56106 for the initial wiring. 1. I would like to purchase the Prodigy P3 Break Controller. Instead of the universal wiring kit ETBC7, would these parts allow me to completely install? 5506 Wiring Kit for 2,4,6,8 Brake Controllers C57102 4 way to 7 or 4 way with back up alarm - I would really like the back up alarm Would I still need the recommended ETBCXW 10foot additional wiring? that you recommend if purchasing ETBC7 for a minivan 2. Transmission cooler - how do I know which size I need? 3. with the WDH, do I still need air lift springs or rear wheel airbags? i forget what theyre called Anything else I may be missing? Also, I should note, that I took off the Run Flat Tires and replaced them with 235/55R18 tires. Thanks!

To install the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 in your 2014 Toyota Sienna you could use the # 5506 and the # C57102 that you referenced and you'd be set. This would give you basically the same kit as the # ETBC7 except with the backup alarm. You wouldn't need the extra wire either.

With transmission coolers the best option is to go with the largest one that will fit in the available space in front of the radiator. For example the part # D13503 measures 11" Wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep and would be an excellent choice.

With a properly rated and setup weight distribution system you would not need to install air bag enhancement either.

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
