CE Smith Boat Trailer Compatibility with Inflatable Boat and Outboard Motor on Interstate

Question:

Can the trailer transport the inflatable boat, 11foot 9inch length, 160 lbs with the Honda 15hp outboard mounted another 110 lbs on Interstate? Does this have direct transom support or if not are there parts that can be added to support the transom directly? Can this model be provided with 12inch or 16inch wheels to improve transportation at highway speeds? Sincerely.

The CE Smith Boat Trailer for Boats and PWCs up to 12' Long - 800 lbs # CE48810 will work well to transport your boat on the interstate. The wheels cannot be switch to the 12 inch size without removing the fenders and adding larger brackets to accommodate the increased diameter. The wheel and tire combinations that come with the trailer are rated for speeds up to 65 mph. If you choose to change the tire size, I don't recommend going over the 12 inch wheels and you can use the Taskmaster 4.80R12 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 12" White Spoke Wheel # TA98RR. These will increase your tire diameter to 20.63 inches, but your speed rating will increase to up to 81 mph. Road and weather conditions should be considered when transporting a light trailer at highway speeds.

The bunk boards can be mounted to support your boat differently and you can always add more brackets and boards if desired. I recommend the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies - Galvanized Steel - 9" - Qty 4 # CE10000G-4 and CE Smith U-Bolts - Galvanized - 3-13/16" Long x 3-1/16" Wide x 1/2" Diameter - Qty 2 # CE15283GA-2 to add additional brackets. For additional bunk boards you can use the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers - 6' Long - 1 Pair # CE27840 or 5' Long # CE27820.
