Kayak Carrier Recommendation for Carrying 2 Kayaks with 2018 Subaru Outback with Factory Bars

Question:

I have 2 nine foot kayaks and a 2018 Subaru Outback with the factory crossbars. I need to buy roof racks to allow me to transport them back to back on their sides at the same time, with the ability to fold the racks down when not in use. The Rhino Rack J Style Kayak Carrier Folding #S512 and the Malone J-Downloader Kayak Carrier with Bow and Stern Lines have been recommended to me. Which one is better? Should I also be looking at any comparable Thule or Yakima brand products? Thanks for your help! I cant afford to choose incorrectly!.

The best solution we have would be the Rhino Rack kayak carrier part # S512 that you referenced with the expansion arm part # RRS512X to allow you to carry a second kayak. This rack has the highest weight capacities at 99 lbs and can fold down when not in use so it would be a great solution.

This also fits the factory crossbars of a 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon as well.
