Installing Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller on 2003 Chevy TrailBlazer with Factory 7-Way
Question:
I have a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer and I plan to buy a Tekonsha Primus IQ 90160. Can you tell me the correct plug in wiring adaptor for my SUV?

If your 2003 Chevy Trailblazer came equipped with the factory 7-Way connector at the rear, there is not a plug present under the dash that would work with a plug-in adapter, however all the needed wires are already run. This means that in order to install a brake controller like the excellent Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160 that you mentioned, you will just need to connect the brake controller wiring to the vehicle wiring that is found under the dash. This isn't quite a "plug and play" installation, but it is still just a matter of connecting a few wires beneath the dash of your vehicle and you will be good to go.
The blue wire from the brake controller is for the brake output, the red wire goes to the brake stoplight switch, the white wire is for ground, and the black wire is the 12V power supply. There should be labels on the wiring found under your Trailblazer's dash to indicate each of their functions.
