Question:
I need a 5 wire harness for my 2016 subaru forester, 4 wire is a standard trailer connection but i need a 5 wire for my boat trailer to energize a solenoid when in reverse. Do you have such a thing?

Expert Reply:
On your 2016 Subaru Forester, you will use your standard 4-wire trailer connection like # 118467 if you don't already have it, and then you can use the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter # 20036. This adapter plugs into your vehicle 4-way and then allows you to connect the reverse light power by splicing into it behind your tail lights using a quick splice connector.
