The Reese Towpower Class III trailer hitch receiver 44589 fits the Honda Pilot from 2003 to 2008. It does not fit your 2017.
The trailer hitch I recommend for your Pilot is part # e98840. It's also a Class III but it's custom designed for your vehicle. It's a fairly easy bolt-on install and all the hardware you need is included. I've linked the install details and a video for you to check out.
