How to Attach a Trailer with a 6-Pole Connector to a Vehicle with a 7-Way Connector
Question:
My stock trailer is 6 pole with a dedicated red wire for stop and dedicated wires for left and right turn where do I put the stop wire? 6 to 7 pole trailer wiring

I have attached a photo of where the wires need to be placed when using a 6-pole trailer connector. As you can see in this photo, the brake controller output wire will need to be placed in the 10 o'clock position when looking at the trailer side connector from the rear. If you also need an adapter to use the 6-pole trailer connector on a vehicle with a 7-way trailer connector then you can use part # 47549.
