There could be any number of brand winches on your personal water craft lift. The winch should have some sort of serial number and/or a manufacturer on it somewhere on in the owners literature for the lift. If you cannot find this information, I may be able to determine what winch is used based on the model and manufacturer of the lift itself.

You could also use a different brand winch provided that it has the same mounting hole pattern as the existing winch. You will need to measure the center to center distance between all of the holes on the bottom of the winch to determine if a different winch will fit.

The Dutton-Lainson winch that you have referenced, # DL15002, would be a good choice because it has a TUFFPLATE finish for superior corrosion resistance above standard zinc plating. It can be used with a cable, but you may prefer to use a strap, # DL24260, that is more corrosion resistant than a cable. It also has a standard mounting pattern.

Another option is the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch, # DL16001, which is designed for light applications such as personal water crafts, or applications with insufficient room for a 360-degree rotational handle. This is a ratcheting winch that pulls the load in with a back and forth ratchet motion rather than turning a handle around. It can be used with strap # DL24291.
