Starting with a trailer hitch for your 2015 Nissan NV 2500, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class IV Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75715. This custom-fit hitch will use existing holes in your vehicle's frame for a no-drill installation. It features a 2 inch receiver, a 1,125 pound tongue weight capacity, and a 7,500 pound towing weight capacity. I also recommend checking the owner's manual for your NV 2500 for its specific capacity, as you will need to follow whichever limit is lower.
I have attached the written installation instructions that you can take a look at.
Then, for a trailer wiring harness, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118553. This custom harness will install by connecting directly to built-in ports behind the trim panels in the cargo area on the driver and passenger side. After these connections are made, you will simply need to run the hot lead up to the vehicle's battery. This will provide you with a 4-Way connector to connect with and power a trailer's basic signal lights.
I have attached an installation video on the 2014 Nissan NV that you can use for reference.
Since it sounds like you will be doing some towing, I recommend taking a look at the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit includes two different ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and another with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop, along with a 1-7/8 inch and 2 inch hitch ball. If the ball mounts in this kit do not provide the rise or drop needed to tow your trailer level, you can refer to the attached article for help in determining the best ball mount for your setup.
