Expert Reply:

The Malone HR20 Inflatable Roof Rack part MPG453 (discontinued) and the Malone HandiRack Inflatable Roof Rack part # MPG452 are both very similar alternatives to a traditional roof rack. A few key points to make is that the HandiRack has a weight capacity of up to 180 lbs whereas the HR20 can only support up to 44 lbs. The HandiRack also comes with both bow and stern tie-downs and the HR20 does not. With that being said either one would work for you but the the HandiRack will offer a greater margin in regards to weight as well as a bit more security with the tie downs. If you will be traveling at highway speeds than the tie-downs will prove worthwhile. If you do not need the added capacity of the HandiRack but still wish to use the bow and stern tie downs then you can add them to the HR20 with part # MPG306.
