Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2014 Lincoln MKX for Bike Rack

Question:

I watched a video for installing 87604 on a 2014 lincoln mkx. It only showed 4 bolts. However, I cant find that model. Instead I found the 75992, but that has 6 bolts. I only plan on using it for a bike rack. Is the 75992 hitch the one I should get?

The hitch you mentioned has been discontinued so it's no longer available. The Draw Tite hitch part # 75992 is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Lincoln MKX though and would do a great job with a bike rack. You have to use all 6 bolts to install the hitch though.

I really like the Saris Freedom Superclamp part # SA4025F. This is a lightweight platform rack (which is normally an unheard of combo). That means it'll be easy to install and remove from your vehicle since it's light, but also it'll be very easy to load bikes on since it's a platform rack.

This rack also only touches bikes at the tire so it protects any damage to delicate frame materials or finishes.
