Solution for Routing Power Wire of Trailer Clearance Light to Prevent Wire Damage/Short
Question:
Im very weary as to the close proximity of the hot wire to the trailer frame, when I run it through the standard size hole in the frame to get to the light. Theres only about a mm and if the hot wire touches the frame, itll short out correct? It seems I need to at a minimum shrink tube the hot wire all the way up to the back of the led. My install is exactly like the install video for this item.

You might consider drilling out the hole for the power wire of the part # MCL-91AK to fit through if the clearance is as tight as you described. That would be the best way to have enough clearance to prevent damage to the wire which could potentially cause a short.
