Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Ford F-250 with Factory Pucks & Lippert Turning Point Trailer Pin Box
Question:
I have a 2018 F-250 4WD with 6.75foot bed and factory puck system. I am purchasing a Grand Design 220RK 8995 GVWR with the turning point swivel pin box, so I am told I do not need a sliding hitch. One of my concerns is the hitch height adjustment. The 2018 F-250 4WD is very tall. What is your hitch recommendation? Thanks

For your 2018 Ford F-250, you are correct that with the Lippert Turning Point Pin box on your trailer you do not need a sliding 5th wheel hitch for your 6-3/4 foot bed. The best option to give you the most height adjustment is the B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package # BWRVK3300 for a 20K capacity or # BWRVK3305 for a 25K capacity.
Both of these hitches offer height adjustment between 16-3/4 - 18-3/4 inches. There is only one hitch that is slightly taller and that is the Demco Hijacker UMS Double Pivot 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550033 with a 21K capacity. That hitch will adjust from 16-19 inches. This is also a great option that will give you an additional 1/4 inch of height.
With either the B&W or the Demco Hitch, I recommend the wiring harness # C57008 to give you a clean look with easy wiring connection. I've attached a video of this installation on the same year/make/model truck to assist.
