Wiring # C59496 Recommendation for a 2011 Dodge Journey
Question:
I purchased a 2011 Dodge Journey in March and had Dodge Dealer install Dodge Hitch and Wiring Harness. When Dealer brought car back they advise wiring did not work and Dodge telling them they do not make a wiring harness to fit this vehicle. I called again today and still can not get thru Dodge. Will this unit actually work with the 2011 Dodge Journey?

Yes, this Wiring # C59496 that you referenced would work well on your 2011 Dodge Journey. The issue that your dealer most likely ran into was the fact that your vehicle has a separate tail light system where the brake lights and turn signals are on different bulbs.
The # C59496 that you referenced converts the separate signal and converts its to a combined circuit like what is on your trailer.
If your Journey has the LED taillights, there is also a plug and play option, part # 118536.
I attached installation instructions for you to check out also.
