The load range D on the Loadstar ST185/80D13 # AM1ST79 actually gives you a higher weight rating than the C load range. For this size D is 1,710 lbs at 65 psi while C is 1,480 lbs at 50 psi. It doesn't hurt to have a tire that is rated for more weight and the benefit to this tire is that it has a max speed rating of 81 mph. If you need a wheel as well then I recommend part # AM3S331 as this is the same tire but it comes with a white wheel that has a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern.

Bias tires, like the mentioned Loadstar # AM1ST79, are typically used for off-road applications like agriculture, but they used to be the popular option for highway use. If you would like a radial tire, which is better suited for highway use, then you would need to get a different size.

For this I recommend the Karrier ST175/80R13 # AM10210. This has a load range D (1,610 lbs at 65 psi) and still has the 81 mph speed rating. If you need a wheel with this tire then I recommend part # AM31985 which is the same tire but it comes with a white wheel with the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. This smaller size tire is a little smaller when it comes to width but it has about the same diameter as the 185/80-13 size tire.

I have linked a helpful article on trailer tire sizes as well as some review videos for you to check out.
