Friction Sway Control Recommendation for 2016 Grand Cherokee

I will be towing a 14ft Rockwood GeoPro 76”wide tounge weight 277lbs dry weight 2022lbs Do you think I will need weight distribution hitch or just sway control?

That's a pretty lightweight trailer with a lower tongue weight. Most likely you'd be fine to tow without weight distribution. I looked up the towing capacity of your 2016 and it could have a capacity of between 3,500 and 7,200 lbs so a 2,000 lb trailer shouldn't be a problem at all.
Friction sway control might help like with part # 83660 to prevent sway from high winds or getting passed by a semi truck.
