Roof Mounted Kayak Carrier that Can Easily be Removed for a GMC Acadia

I’m looking for a safe rack to carry 13’ 2 person kayak on a GMC Acadia with no rack. Something easy to place on and off auto, thanks

You need to start with a complete roof rack. If you give me the model year I can recommend a roof rack for your GMC Acadia. Another option, especially since you're looking or something that is easily removable is the SeaSucker MonkeyBars, part # 298-SX6000B. It's a universal roof rack that uses vacuum cups. Before you second guess the stability of the cups take a look at the video I've linked of one of the SeaSucker bike racks on a VW bus.

With a roof rack installed then you can add a kayak carrier like the Rhino-Rack, part # S510. It has a maximum weight capacity of 99 pounds so it can handle most kayaks. All the tie-downs you need are included although I recommend adding the Anchor Straps, part # RRRBAS, to make it easier to connect the straps to your Acadia.
