Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Replacement Round Spring Bars

Question:

I currently have a Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch rated at 8000 lbs. I am buying a new trailer with a Gross Weight of 9500 lbs. Will the 10000 lb replacement Round Spring Bars work with my current hitch so it will work on the new trailer? Thanks

Matching a weight distribution system to a trailer really requires knowing the trailer's actual loaded tongue weight (TW). The gross weight spec does not help too much unless you always tow at that maximum capacity. Measuring with TW scale # e99044 is the best way to go since it allows you to know your actual loaded TW.

To the trailer's own measured TW you need to add any cargo weight in the tow vehicle that sits behind the rear axle, such as a loaded cooler or generator. Once you know this actual total you can choose a whole system - or replacement spring bars - to match the TW load.
