Installation of Electric Brake Replacement Assemblies on Wells Cargo Dual Axle Trailer
Question:
I see they use a different type of lock washer with the nut on the spindle. Could you direct me to a visual tuturorial online for assembly? Electric brakes on a wells cargo 16 dual axle, the brakes do not have a cotter pin

When installing electric brakes on your Wells Cargo tandem axle trailer, you will want either the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" # AKEBRK-7-SA or the 10" # AKEBRK-35-SA. You can simply put a tape measure on your hub to see which one you need. I've attached videos of the installations to assist.
It is just as common for assemblies not to use a cotter pin and it is for them to use a cotter pin on that spindle nut. Some will use a castle nut like # 165686 with the cotter pin and others will use a jam nut like # 6-191 with a retainer like # 6-190.
