Recommended Replacement Tires for 225/75-15 Tires that Keep Blowing Out

Question:

I’ve had 3 blow outs in as many years. I’ve been reduced to traveling at 55 MPH to limit the chance of blow outs. I assume that they heat up at higher speeds causing blow outs. I need tires that will stop the blow outs and allow me to travel at 65 MPH. Help. I have a 2007 keystone laredo , tire size is 225x75x15. Just some points: the tires I have are no names not sure if thats my problem, I thought one was as good as the next. The trailer is not over weight, I keep the tire pressure within the spec’s for the tire.

It is definitely not true that one tire is as good as the next. There are many tire brands on the market and many shops that don't store them correctly and sometimes for very long time periods. There are also different load ranges and ply ratings that change the thickness of the sidewall, which is very important if you are having regular blow outs.

My recommendation for your replacement tires are the Taskmaster Provider ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # TR225LRE which are rated at 10 ply.
