Recommended Parts to Tow a Trailer with a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2 Door
Question:
I am looking for a receiver trailer hitch for my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X 2 door I believe it has a little lift to it, that will be used mostly for towing a boat in the summer. What would be the best type of trailer hitch to get?

To tow a trailer with your 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon I recommend the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver, part # DT78MR. It's a custom designed Class III receiver that bolts on pretty easily. I've linked an install video for you.
In addition to the receiver you also need a ball mount and wiring to tow your boat. I've attached a link of our selection of ball mounts for a 2 inch hitch receiver as well as an article to help you determine the correct rise or drop you may need. Once you choose a ball mount you can then choose a hitch ball to fit it.
For a pin and clip to fit you can use # PC3 or if you'd like to have a locking pin you can use # BX8858.
Then for a wiring harness I recommend part # 118416. It's a 4-way connector that plugs in behind the Jeep's driver's side tail light
I've also included links to some articles on towing that you might find helpful.
