Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2017 Ford F-350 with Rail Kit to Tow 19,084 Pound Trailer

Question:

I just ordered a new Riverstone 39RKFB with a GVWR of 19084 lbs and hitch weight of 3084 lbs. I just want to make sure the hitch I get will be sufficient for this fifth wheel. The UVW is 16,292 lbs

The B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3300 referenced in your question is a great choice for your 2017 Ford F-350 with the factory rail kit. The Companion features 1 inch thick dual jaws to provide 360-degree jaw-to-king-pin contact and a 20,000 pound towing capacity. It will drop right into the factory pucks in your truck bed.

As long as you stay under the 19,084 pound GVWR on your new Riverstone 5th Wheel, you will not have any issues and the hitch will work great to pull its weight. This truly is a great hitch, one that is considered by many to be the best on the market.

With that being said, if you think you might ever upgrade to a heavier trailer in the future, or simply would like a bit of a larger safety margin, going with a heavier-rated hitch isn't a bad idea. The Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16039, which is also confirmed to fit the factory rail kit on your truck, has a higher 24,000 pound towing capacity. It features an excellent 2-jaw locking system and a 3-point indicator system that will tell you when the hitch is ready to uncouple, couple, or tow.

I have attached video demonstrations for both systems that you can also check out.
