An aftermarket trailer brake controller can usually just be unplugged (the plug at the rear of the controller housing and the plug under the dash). This 4-wire harness is the entirety of the unit's connection to the vehicle's wiring.

If the Ridgeline has a factory-installed 7-way trailer connector you may be able to unplug the other end of the short 4-wire harness that connects to a port under the dash. If you refer to the linked installation video for a brake controller used in a 2017 Ridgeline you can see how this is done. Simply reverse the install procedure and you're done.
